Persona creation

What is it?

Personas, which are also known as user profiles, are fictitious characters created using demographic data about your target or existing audience. They represent the people you are providing your product or service for, giving them a 'real' face.

Personas are developed in conjunction with your marketing team as well as teams who have contact with your end users where possible, as it is useful to use comprehensive evidence about your users in order to create realistic and accurate representations of them.

How long does it take?

It takes about 2 weeks for a complete persona build. This includes inviting stakeholders to input, assessing all available demographic data, running a persona workshop with your in-house teams, compiling the persona and presenting it to the development team.

What are the benefits?

Persona building is a useful and often fun way of targeting website development, particularly when you are using an in-house software or design team. Feature and design ideas can be assessed against the requirements of the persona, keeping development on track

We recommend creating several checkpoints in your development lifecycle, to regularly ensure that things are moving in the best way for your users.
